I am nine weeks out from bilateral food surgery (all 10 toes). Over the next 6-9 months I will continue to
modify my foot wear as the residual swelling subsides. Finding comfortable and velcro closure sandals
for my Florida wear has been a challenge. Several have been returned to other companies. The Oasis
Sandal Metatarsal is a definite winner! The 4 velcro closures provide variance fit with my changing feet as well as the secure structure I need around my left ankle due to two prior ankle surgeries..
I am not able to wear these sandals yet for an extended period of time. My podiatrist/surgeon has advised
me to keep these sandals for the reasons I have noted, further stating that my feet will conform to the sole of the sandal as my recovery period continues. Thank you for this sandal and my initial customer discount!
I recently brought my first pair of Abeo Oasis sandals to a 3 week trip to India and they turned out to be all I could have wanted for walking all day. When I walked around in them at home, before leaving, I was a little concerned the strap rubbed in one area on the top of my foot, but was relieved to see there was absolutely no problem once I simply adjusted the strap to be a little looser. These sandals were perfectly comfortable from the first moment I put them on, and they had enough of a thick sole to keep me comfortable after hours of walking. These sandals got quite a workout on the streets of India, but they held up beautifully, not appearing worn or scratched in any way when I got home, and easily wiped clean to look 100% new. I had traveled around the world in Eccos before and they finally wore out- these are going to be my travel sandal from now on. I bought them in black and beige and am hoping the red will become available again in my size. About size. To determine what size to order, I plugged in the size of my Hoka tennis shoes and the site told me to order a size 10, but I thought that sounded huge, so I ordered the sandal in a size 9. I still had to return it for an 8.5 which fit perfectly- and is what I normally wear in non tennis shoes. I highly recommend these sandals- no matter where you wear them!
